Last week, I spent some time with terrific people at Monroe Community Church. These people are either seeking work or seeking information to help others - all great people. While my information was hopefully both timely and informative, more interesting where the questions asked. I heard similar themes to others speaking on this topic. Most asked:

Job hunting
How do I find a job when no one is hiring?
When I apply online will anyone ever see my resume?
How do I get around Human Resources and get to a decision maker?
There are only part time jobs out there. How do I survive on part time work?

Social Media & Networking
What is it?
Do I really need it?
How do I manage staying on top of so much?
Can it backfire and hurt me?

Over the next week or so, I will share some of my answers and I would love yours too. What do you think about some of the questions above? How would you answer them?

I do this again next month. A special shoutout to Laurie @ Punk Rock HR and her comments about questions before answers. Thanks Laurie.

These are wonderful workshops, offering a "light" through resources, support and connection. YOU are such a leader. Are you seeking any resources in particular for your workshops?

Dee this is a really great thing that you are doing and I hope like in the spirit of Job Angels that this can help at least one person get back to work. Please let me know if I can help in any way at all.

I would love your thoughts on the answers to the questions presented. I have some but would love to share more - I will update the post to reflect that better.

You two are both wonderful. :)

I think it's so important to get out there where the job seekers live & breathe:

- Schools
- Churches
- Community Associations

I'm so happy that you are leading the charge. We need more people like, Deirdre, who can provide common-sense advice to people out there.
