That whole vacation thing

Despite what others may think or say, I am an introvert.  While on vacation, I would choose nothing more than sitting in my cottage or on my beach, watching the surf pound, the sun rise, the moon rise, the freighters come and go, and the eagle fish for dinner.

Yet for some odd and mysterious reason, friends and neighbors think that there is something wrong with me.  Why in the world would I want to be alone on my vacation?  Incomprehensible really.

Time alone in the peace and tranquility of the water and wind is what recharges my batteries.  Should you find yourself this summer on vacation and see people alone, don't assume it's for a lack of friends, connections, or desire.  It may be by choice.
