Time off

For the Christmas holiday, I am off.  My last day of work was December 20 and I don't return until January 2.  It's heavenly bliss - time to read, relax, and rejuvenate.

January is always crazy busy.  This is a good time to build up a reserve of energy.

As I was running errands yesterday, I saw something wonderful.  Many businesses are closing on Monday, Christmas Eve.  Some have shortened hours.  Virtually everyone is closed Christmas Day.

I picked up my dry cleaning and the store is closing both Monday and Tuesday.  I was talking to one of the employees and she said that everyone was so excited - they will have three days off in a row.

That's great.

Regardless of what holiday - if any - you celebrate, it's encouraging to see businesses give time off to employees.  Time off  to celebrate, rest, read, travel, be with friends and family, whatever gives them joy and juice.

I have books to read, blogs to write, pictures to take, and a few days on Lake Huron.  I hope you have wonderful down time too.
