I received a request to read and review a lovely book, Soul Songs: Reflections of Joy in Everyday Life.
I read this book on a bleak and lugubrious Sunday afternoon, curled up in a blanket in front of the fire, scrolling through a delightful collection of thoughts and observations of joy - in life and in the world.
The words seemed a tad sweeter relative to the recent events in the dark, bleak world.
It was a quiet and easy read. I enjoyed many of the reflections; though there were a number that involved children and grandchilden. As someone who doesn't have children, these personal reflections weren't as meaningful to me; they may be to others.
This is a nice book to read daily or weekly, spending time in the individual writing. Thank you for sharing!
