January news

Well it's been a busy January.  So busy that I haven't taken the time to sit down and write.  I had a couple of topics on the agenda.  I could write about my colonoscopy or a really great small business.

Neither are about human resources.  Both involve pictures.  Guess which one wins?

For many years, I have been shopping locally - supporting small businesses to buy groceries, bread, wine, candles, good stuff.  We try and avoid big box stores except for some large items and gas.  We pay a little more but it's worth it.

So my friend's magnificent, amazing store, Art of the Table, is up for a service award.  If +Amy Ruis wins, she will win an entire year of marketing promotion, along with a tidy sum of $5000.  That's a big deal for a small business.

Most Saturdays, you can find me at Art of the Table picking up my wine.  I call or message Amy, tell her what we are having for dinner, and she has several bottles set aside when we show up.  We usually buy them all.

Would you take a moment and vote for her?  Click here and select Art of the Table.  It's a vote for wonderful, hometown businesses everywhere.

Thank you.  Really truly, thank you.
